This data is capable of detecting hydrocarbons and various other infrared gases that are active like carbon dioxide and water vapor.

4. Infrared Imaging Detector

   Infrared image detectors are sensors that include both active and passive systems. Active sensors refers to the scanning a laser across a part and detect a light at the absorption line wavelength of a preferred type of gas. Passive infrared image detector have the capacity to measure the spectral changes at each image and detect spectral forms that help in the indication of gases that are to be detected.
